上次介紹北歐公寓DIY這本書後，姥姥匯整了一下問題，麻請推守文化幫忙，請教了作者Jens。以下為他的回覆。
About kitchen（關於廚房）
1. You changed the kitchen cabinets to woody doors. Would the solid woody doors change shape or mold in a long time ? because kitchen is a humid place. (你們家廚房換了實木門片，那門片容易變形或發霉嗎？)
The wood I use is 12mm plywood, so actually not solid wood, but laminated wood. This keeps the shape better and is also very cheap! If the climate is VERY humid it might warp (change shape) but so far it is still looking ok!
（我使用的是12mm的膠合板，並不是實木，屬於美耐板。這種木板不易變形，又非常便宜。但如果氣候真的非常潮濕，它是有可能變形，但是至今在我家，它仍保持得不錯
2.Do you use silicon between the stainless steel countertop and wall？Is it easy moldy?(你家廚櫃有用矽利康收邊嗎？)
Yes, we have silicon between the countertop and the wall. Its mainly to make sure no water gets down behind the countertops!

3. Is your range hood too high to suck oil fume? (你家抽油煙機會不會裝太高？)
The range hood does suck some oil fume but as the wood is on the outside of the range hood it is not a big problem. Also we do not do a lot of deep frying so we don’t have too many problems with that.

About Woody Windows（關於木窗）
1.Can the woody window keep out the wind completely?(木窗可以完全氣密嗎？）
Yes! Wooden windows are actually often more tight than aluminum as the wood can expand a little. There is usually also a silicon strip so the close 100%.

2. How the glass put into the woody flame? Any tips to easy to do it?(DIY木製窗時，玻璃是怎麼放進木窗框內的呢？）
I use to small strips of wood and then press the glass in between these. See the attached drawing.
（我通常使用小的木頭螺絲釘固定好木框（木框是由角料做成的），再將玻璃推進木框，請見下圖。）
